Being asked to create the identity for Enigin, a new company in the
Energy Saving Business marketplace, was an exciting opportunity for Jelly to
become more aware of energy saving potentials, and how Enigin can play a major
role in changing commercial and business sectors views on energy wastage.

By
working closely with Ian Wrigley FRSA, one of the co-founding Directors of
Enigin, I was able to understand better the ‘journey’ he had undertaken to
reach the point of setting Enigin in place and what would be required on a
branding level to help achieve their goals.

The
starting point – creating the logo.

The
‘E-Cluster’ element of the logo is a
highly stylised form of energy. The central point of orange relates to the
source of power and the exterior rings change to an earthy palette to represent
how Enigin can help with the use of that power, in a more

environmentally
sound manner.

Since
the creation of the initial identity, I’ve gone on to produce all forms of
literature for Enigin. From product sheets highlighting Refrigeration,
Lighting, Air Conditioning Systems and Intelligent

Motors,
to Partnership Proposal documents.

Packaging
includes box graphics for their bespoke metering product ‘Eniscope’ and welcome
packs for key staff members under the

‘E-Centive’
banner.

The
next natural stage for Enigin’s growth has been the building of their web
presence. Again, I was invited to grow the identity across this important and
rapidly expanding market area of business for Enigin, and have recently
completed an update to not only the visual ‘feel’ of the site; www.enigin.com,
but re-designed the whole structure to the site to accommodate their changing
business needs.

The
Energy Saving Business goes from strength-to-strength as more of us become
aware of the impact we all are making on our environment, and how businesses
need to respond to these changes. Enigin has become a leader through its years
of knowledge built in and around the energy industry. As a graphic designer,
I’m proud to be associated with a company that is making a positive impact on
our energy consumption.
